About Ylang Ylang Essential Oil
Ylang-ylang Oil is derived from Cananga odorata plant though steam distillation method. There are several grades of Ylang-ylang essential oil which are extracted at different times during the flower’s lengthy distillation. These grades are referred to as extra, I, II, & III. This is the first distillation of the oil.

Canagara odorata is typically a tall tropical tree about 20+ meters (60 feet) high with large, tender, fragrant pink, or yellow flowers. The yellow heads are considered the best for extracting essential oil.
