ABOUT TEA TREE ESSENTIAL OIL (Melaleuca altern(folia):

Action: antifungal, antiseptic, deodorant, a mental stimulant. Healing effects: tea- tree oil has a non-toxic germicidal action and can be used for colds and flue, cuts and bites. It is recommended for bacterial or fungal vaginitis, such as candida (thrush).

To soothe burning and itching, which are symptoms of these infections, use tea-tree cream (keep this in the refrigerator if cold application is required).

Elderly people often have bad circulation in their legs; the skin becomes very thin and the slightest scratch can become infected and ulcerated. They will find a tea-tree cream or a blend of tea-tree and almond oil very soothing.

Tea-tree also helps cure dandruff. Add a few drops to your regular shampoo or buy a brand-name tea-tree shampoo.
